Hello, all! As is my way, I'm behind on my newsletter. I always intend to send out something quarterly to keep everyone updated but with writing, beta reading—think Nortown 😍—and life, it just slips through the cracks.
First off, I wanted to thank everyone who sent me messages regarding the release of That Rat, Carter Janson back in January! My first Dreamspinner Press publication, it was so fun to write. And, to answer a question I was asked more than once, yes, a sequel—following two of the supporting characters—is currently in the works. I won't say which two. I'll just let you guess. LOL 🤯
If you haven't had a chance to pick up a copy, now's a good time. Dreamspinner Press is offering $3, $4 and $5 discount codes from now through May 20th! You can also find it on Amazon, Barnes and Noble and other online retailers.
Now, as I do every year, I failed at April's NaNoWriMo—National Novel Writing Month—I didn't hit 50k. Not even close. 😭 So, while my fail was epic, as it is every year, I still made some headway on a number of projects I'm actively working on. In addition to the sequel to That Rat, Carter Janson, I'm also working on something I'm super excited about!
Since many of you know me from my paranormal romance Cold Fingers, and its sequel Body of Work, you probably already know I'm a big paranormal fan. In fact, it was paranormal that really piqued my interest in writing to begin with. What very few of you know if that I am a comic book nerd. I have a scary large collection of old 60's and 70s romance and horror comic books which I spent a lot of years hunting down, and almost as many years blogging about.
So, how could I combine those interests? In the most fun way ever! I'm currently working on a MM romance ghost story, while simultaneously working along with a comic book illustrator to create a comic prequel to the book! Think House of Mystery with more man love. LOL
As things on the comic start to come together, I'll share some of the artwork. So, while I was obsessing over my haunting, I was also wondering how many of you out there are also paranormal romance fans?
You can share your favorites with me below. I'd love to hear from you!
